Bizarre New Skincare Trend
Greetings and Happy Spring!
After a recent visit to my local Vitamin World store, I became intrigued by the Organic Doctor Snail Gel. Yes, you read that right. Snail gel. I was curious about how this product worked so I did some online research. I found out that Helix Aspersa Muller is a unique substance a snail produces to quickly regenerate its own shell and skin. The story is that people who handled these snails noticed a significant improvement in the condition of their skin. I began using the Organic Doctor Snail gel about two weeks ago and I have noticed an improvement in skin softness but I haven’t been able to tell any significant changes as it relates to anti-aging. I do love the gel consistency as my skin tends to be on the oily side. Bottom line: While it seems gross to be using an animal secretion as skin care, it’s still a scientific breakthrough that we can add to the list of anti-aging skin care options on the market.

Memories
Greetings!
As I was doing some spring house cleaning, I came across my old bottle of Sweet Honesty perfume from the late seventies which was in a darling little lamb bottle. The perfume has since been used up but the scent still lingers.
After this nostalgic moment, I purchased a new Sweet Honesty perfume from Avon which is a relaunch of their classic fragrances.
Sweet Honesty was launched in 1973. The fragrance features honey, musk, vanilla, hyacinth, lemon, lily-of-the-valley and rose.
Happy Weekend all! Xxoo

SWEET NEW PRODUCT FIND!
I know it says it's a baby oil but it's the best makeup remover ever! I use it to break down waterproof makeup (mascara, liquid lipstick, etc.) the wash it all away with my cleanser.
"A mix of organic coconut, jojoba, and sunflower seed oils, our dry oil soothes and softens skin for a nourishing experience. The formula—designed for newborns and up—absorbs easily without ever feeling greasy."

Wet n Wild Debacle
I ordered a bunch of the new Wet n Wild products to display and test on the blog but much to my disappointment I received a big box of crumbled crap and a ton of brushes that I didn't even order! NOTHING in the box matched the invoice.
I reached out to the company who gave me a run around. Oh, and their customer service number is perpetually busy. Convenient (sarcasm 😏).
I hope to have a positive outcome to update with in the future.......

Favorites of 2016
Greetings everyone! I wanted to showcase some of the things I loved (and some I continue to love) in 2016. As I said in my last blog, I want to spend more time in 2017 on doing the things I love and not to sweat the small stuff.
My beauty favorites for 2016 were many but I’ve highlighted a few here for you.
First of all, Nivea’s In-Shower Body Lotion makes life so much easier! I mean, who has several minutes every day to slather themselves in lotion and spend time rubbing it in? Slather it on in the shower, rinse and you’re done!
My new mascara love is It Cosmetics’ Super Hero Mascara. (I really should buy a full size of this since this is the second travel size I’ve gone through.) My lashes tend to fall flat with many volumizing mascaras because they are naturally straight but this mascara helps to hold a curl. (I use BH Cosmetics eyelash curler, btw.)
Gliss Shampoos and Conditioners are a recent find from Walgreens and it has helped my damaged hair become shiny and soft once again.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain is by far one of the best liquid matte colors I’ve tried. It doesn’t make your lips feel like the Sahara Desert and the color range is fantastic. The two colors I have are Bohemian Purple and Marvelous Mauve.

Happy New Year
As I begin the new year, I stop to reflect on 2016, which was a year of big changes for me. First of all, I changed careers and adopted a precious feline baby. My new job brought with it challenges that took me away from my blog for a bit but I’m back in full force. One of my new year’s resolutions is to take time out for the little things I enjoy doing.
My winter product recommendations for January are 2 must haves if you are struggling with dry skin.
Dr. Teal’s Lavender Body Oil not only smells heavenly but can soothe dry skin when added to the bath. I also slather it on afterwards to seal in moisture. This has helped tremendously with my itchy dry skin this winter.
The other product I’ve discovered recently is E.L.F.’s Bubble Mask. This hydrating mask bubbles up like a foam on your skin. One the product is done bubbling, it’s time to rinse. I follow up with my regular skin care which is the Neutrogena Hydrating Serum followed by my Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentrait.
